Google Search Console
Connect Google Search Console to see search queries, clicks, impressions, and rankings alongside your analytics.
What it provides
The Google Search Console integration brings your organic search data directly into your Abner dashboard. Once connected, you can see:
- Search queries — the keywords people use to find your site on Google
- Pages — which of your pages appear in search results
- Clicks — how many times users clicked through to your site
- Impressions — how often your site appeared in search results
- CTR (Click-Through Rate) — the percentage of impressions that resulted in a click
- Average position — your average ranking position for each query
Connecting your account
To connect Google Search Console to your Abner site:
- Go to your Site Settings page.
- Find the Google Search Console section.
- Click the Connect button.
- You will be redirected to Google to authorize Abner to read your Search Console data via OAuth.
- Grant the requested permissions and you will be redirected back to Abner.
Abner automatically detects the correct Search Console property by matching it to your site's domain. If you have multiple properties in Search Console (e.g., http:// and https:// variants, or a domain property), Abner will select the best match.
Viewing search data
Once connected, search data appears in the Search tab on your dashboard. You can filter by date range just like the rest of your analytics data.
Sync frequency
You can manually sync your Search Console data at any time from your Site Settings page. Data is also synced automatically on a scheduled basis so your dashboard stays up to date without manual intervention.
Note that Google Search Console data is typically delayed by 24 to 48 hours. This is a Google limitation — the data is not available in real time. The most recent data you see in Abner will reflect search activity from one to two days ago.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect Google Search Console at any time from your Site Settings page. Disconnecting removes the OAuth connection and stops syncing new search data, but it does not affect any of your other Abner analytics data. Your existing search data that has already been synced will be retained.
Troubleshooting
Common issues and how to resolve them:
- No property detected — Make sure your site's domain in Abner matches a verified property in Google Search Console.
- No data appearing — Search Console data is delayed 24-48 hours. If you just connected, wait a day and check again.
- Permission errors — Ensure the Google account you authorized has at least read access to the Search Console property.
